Thankful

Gratitude is my attitude these days, as more and more schools and nonprofits (like Surfrider San Diego Chapter) are seeing the benefits of a CalendarLink partnership.

And even better, the media is starting notice what we’re doing as well.  Last week, a reporter by the name of Steve Sinovic from the San Diego Business Journal interviewed me for a series the paper calls INNOVATION.  Here’s a link to the story: http://bit.ly/fEUQVp.

Steve Sinovic is a solid reporter, he got everything right.  We are really grateful to Steve and the Business Journal for taking an interest in what we’re doing.

Also last week, a crew from the CNN bureau in L.A. spent some time with us.  I don’t want to jinx anything so I’m gonna hold back a full report until this thing is further down the road (or in the can, as they say).  But we’ve got some fun video and photos from the shoot which we’ll share on the blog later.

Again, I gotta say I’m grateful to Anthony Aleno from CNN for noticing us from among the hundreds of story ideas out there.  He’s a great guy and has been surfing for 22 years himself.  Photos and details to come.

Calendar Guy Blog:

Occasional musings from John Conover about some of the people, processes, pains and pleasures of starting a new business.

About:
Hi, I’m John Conover, a longtime So Cal surfer and creator/owner of Tidelines calendars. As I approach the 30th anniversary of Tidelines, I’m starting a new venture called CalendarLink.org, a free fund-raising tool for non-profit groups and charitable organizations. Here are some of the stories of the process, the people, the pains and the pleasures of being the Calendar Guy.
