Over the years, I’ve seen my daughter come home with everything from cookie dough to kettle corn to mini-pizza fundraisers. Really, it’s all stuff you don’t want in your house, much less pay for.
At CalendarLink, we can provide schools with a healthy alternative to fundraising.
The great thing about CalendarLink is that we’re selling a product people already want to buy. Schools don’t have to create a demand or use guilt as a motivator. All they have to do is remind parents to go online to CalendarLink.org to make their holiday photo calendars. (It’s just the same process as ordering through Snapfish or iPhoto except we give up to 50% of the cost back to the school or charity.)
San Diego schools that are partnering with CalendarLink.org include:
• Escuela Longfellow in Clairemont
• St. Mark’s Nursery School in Clairemont
• Pacific Beach Middle School
• Paul Ecke Central School in Encinitas
• Oakcrest Middle School in Encinitas
• Hand in Hand Schools in Israel
Today, as health and wellness are in the news every day, who wouldn’t want to support an alternative fundraiser?
Occasional musings from John Conover about some of the people, processes, pains and pleasures of starting a new business.
About:
Hi, I’m John Conover, a longtime So Cal surfer and creator/owner of Tidelines calendars. As I approach the 30th anniversary of Tidelines, I’m starting a new venture called CalendarLink.org, a free fund-raising tool for non-profit groups and charitable organizations. Here are some of the stories of the process, the people, the pains and the pleasures of being the Calendar Guy.
