Good things are happening! Surfrider’s San Diego chapter (which I founded 20 years ago) has its website up and is ready to handle holiday gift orders. In addition to letting members upload their own photos, Surfrider chapter’s websites www.calendarlink.org/surfriderchapters offers a CalendarLink calendar featuring the work of legendary surf photographer Tom Servais.
This really shows the versatility of CalendarLink: you either upload your own photos or you buy the calendar that the non-profit creates. Everybody wins: the consumer gets the calendar they want and the non-profit gets 50% of the order.
We keep saying: this is easy money. This is no-brainer fundraising.
We are having fun.
Occasional musings from John Conover about some of the people, processes, pains and pleasures of starting a new business.
About:
Hi, I’m John Conover, a longtime So Cal surfer and creator/owner of Tidelines calendars. As I approach the 30th anniversary of Tidelines, I’m starting a new venture called CalendarLink.org, a free fund-raising tool for non-profit groups and charitable organizations. Here are some of the stories of the process, the people, the pains and the pleasures of being the Calendar Guy.
