Protecting the great apes with CalendarLink

This week, the Orangutan Foundation International signed up to be a  CalendarLink partner and is finishing its library of photos.  Their members can either buy a calendar with OFI photos, or personalize with their own family photos and $10 of the $19.95 price goes to help protect the great apes.

I first learned about OFI while watching Animal Planet.  If you go on their website, you’ll see that they’re offering Orangutan Eco-Tours in July 2011.  How cool is that?

The Jane Goodall Institute is also in the process of creating its website on CalendarLink.org.  As you know, Jane has been working to protect the chimps for the past 50 years.  As a matter of fact, 60 Minutes will broadcast a segment on Jane’s work, filmed in Tanzania, this Sunday night, Oct. 24.

We are so proud to that the Jane Goodall Institute and the Orangutan Foundation see the potential of CalendarLink.  We hope you’ll pass this information to your ape-loving friends.  Maybe they can sign on and make a calendar

About:
Hi, I’m John Conover, a longtime So Cal surfer and creator/owner of Tidelines calendars. As I approach the 30th anniversary of Tidelines, I’m starting a new venture called CalendarLink.org, a free fund-raising tool for non-profit groups and charitable organizations. Here are some of the stories of the process, the people, the pains and the pleasures of being the Calendar Guy.
